WHAT ABOUT SECURITY IN TUNISIA ?

Tunisia is a moderate Muslim country with a Franco-Tunisian culture. (the degree of advance and touristic development gave way to a lot of tolerance.

IS A VISA NECESSARY ?

The visa is not necessary for EC citizens. For those of other countries, please contact the Tunisian consulate or contact us.

WHAT CURRENCIES ARE ACCEPTED IN TUNISIA ?

Almost all currencies are accepted. Change desks are under the control of banks and are everywhere. The Tunisian money is the Dinar (TND). The change rate is about 1,900 dinars for 1 Euro.

THE CLIMATE ?

Tunisia has a Mediterranean moderate climate.
Summers are hot but all establishments are air conditioned.
Winters are relatively mild with few cold days.

TAP WATER ?

The quality of the water is good in Tunis, however drinking mineral water is current practice.

WHAT ABOUT ELECTRONIC DEVICES ?

The voltage used in Tunisia is of 220 V 50Hz, the plugs are identical to those of the majority of the European countries.

WHAT EXAMINATIONS ARE NEEDED BEFORE THE INTERVENTION ?

• A complete biological examination
• A biological examination: HIV, Hepatitis B and C.
• cardiologic examination (with a cardiovascular examination and an ECG for patients over forty)
• A respiratory examination for patients with chronic respiratory problems and the heavy smokers
• A recent examination for patients with chronic illnesses (diabetes, hypertension…)
• For a mammal surgery, a recent mammography is necessary.

RECCOMMANDATIONS TO FOLLOW BEFORE THE INTERVENTION

• Stop any medication with Aspirin 15 days before the intervention.
• Stop the contraceptive pill a month before the intervention
• Do not eat drink or smoke 8 hours before the intervention.
